The Last Days of Judas Iscariot
Abbott Kaplan Theatre | Performing Arts Center, Purchase College SUNY | 2021

A search for justice requires a yearning for the truth. Judas Iscariot is put on trial for his betrayal to Jesus Christ. The towering walls of a metaphysical, yet bureaucratic courtroom set the world in a desolate and stark vision of purgatory. Purgatory is neither Heaven nor Hell, it is not a place. Its existence is gray and blue and framed by a vignette of nothingness. How can we fully discover the truth when it merely exists as a blurry memory?
